Hours and hours of training are required in order to get an athlete competition ready. Getting the balance right between training and recovery is a balancing act. Being able to train optimally without injury requires as much attention to the recovery phase as to the content of the training.
By incorporating WBC into an athletes preparation, athletes are able to avoid injury from over training as well as speed up the recovery process from training. This allows for an increased workload whereby the athlete can train harder, more intensely and more frequently while also being able to recover properly between sessions without the increased risk of sustaining injury through over training.
Studies have been conducted showing that WBC increases the speed at which lactate acid is removed post exercise but also showing that when used pre-exercise/training there is decreased amounts of lactate build up.
